What Information is Required on Form 990-N?

Form 990-N is a simple 990 series form but there’s still a lot of information to report. Here are the 8 things you’ll need to include when you file Form 990-N for your organization:

  1. Employer Identification Number (EIN) or Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN). This number allows the IRS to identify your organization. 
  2. The tax year you are filing Form 990-N to report on.
  3. Your organization’s legal name and mailing address.
  4. The name your organization goes by.
  5. Your principal officer’s name and address
  6. Your organization’s website, if you have one.
  7. Report that your organization’s annual gross receipts are$50,000 or less.
  8. If your organization is going out of business or being terminated, report that as well.
