Where Should I Mail My Form 990?

This form may be paper filed or filed electronically with the IRS

The Form 990 is specifically designed for tax exempt organizations to report their financial information from the tax year to the IRS. This form must be completed annually and filed no later than the 15th day of the 5th month after the close of their accounting year.

For organizations that operate on a calendar year schedule, this date is May 15, 2020.

However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the IRS has pushed back this deadline to July 15, 2020. This new 990 deadline applies to organizations that have a normal deadline in April, May, or June.

This form may be paper filed or filed electronically with the IRS. If you have any questions about where to mail this form or how to e-file it, just keep reading!
